Recently, the Cambodia Kratié 5,000 t/d clinker cement production line, which is under EPC general contracting by CITIC Heavy Industries and invested by China Energy Engineering Overseas Investment Co., Ltd., successfully completed the topping-out of the preheater tower at the kiln back end, a critical milestone in construction. As a key Sino-Cambodian production capacity cooperation project included in the Belt and Road Initiative International Cooperation Summit Forum held in 2023 and a flagship overseas investment project of China Energy Engineering Group, the project is steadily advancing toward full completion and commissioning. Our self-developed complete biomass drying equipment has been delivered to the project with completed technical docking, enabling low-carbon and green upgrading of this landmark large-scale overseas cement production line and facilitating the implementation of green production capacity cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative between China and Cambodia.
Designed with an annual clinker output of 1.55 million tons and a finished cement output of 1.8 million tons upon completion, the project will greatly bridge the supply shortage of building materials for infrastructure construction in Cambodia and strongly support local development of road and bridge works, real estate development and municipal engineering. Traditional cement manufacturing relies heavily on coal combustion, resulting in high carbon emissions and substantial production costs. Leveraging Cambodia’s abundant agricultural and forestry residues including crop straw, wood shavings and palm waste, the project adopts the process of co-processing biomass in cement kilns to replace fossil coal, cutting fossil fuel consumption and carbon emissions at the source.

In 2025, the biomass dryer supplied by our company(With Ekosep) serves as the core process equipment for solid waste resource utilization and fuel pretreatment along the entire production line. Custom-engineered to adapt to high-humidity agricultural and forestry biomass feedstocks prevalent in Southeast Asia, the equipment delivers efficient deep dewatering and drying of high-moisture biomass materials, stably reducing material moisture content to the range suitable for co-firing in cement kilns. It effectively raises the calorific value and combustion stability of biomass fuel, and resolves common industry pain points such as excessive moisture in raw biomass, susceptibility to mildew, high storage and transportation costs, and poor combustion efficiency after being fed into kilns.
Core Advantages of the Equipment
- Strong Adaptability to Working Conditions: Optimized with enhanced sealing, anti-corrosion and anti-block feeding structures tailored to the tropical rainy climate of Cambodia. The equipment supports outdoor or simple workshop installation, stable continuous 24-hour operation and accommodates the general operation and maintenance conditions of overseas projects.
- Energy-saving and Low-carbon Closed-loop System: Waste low-temperature residual heat from the cement production line is fully recycled as the heat source for drying, eliminating the need for additional coal-fired heat supply. The system features low energy consumption and no secondary flue gas emissions, fully complying with the environmental assessment requirements of the project.
- Intelligent Integrated Control System: Equipped with a full-automatic PLC central control system that supports one-click startup and shutdown, real-time online monitoring of moisture content, temperature and load parameters, as well as remote operation and maintenance plus fault early warning, minimizing manual on-site operation workload.
- One-stop Delivery & Full-service Support: The scope of supply covers the main unit, feeding conveying system, tail gas dust removal system and sealed discharging conveying system as a complete packaged solution. We also provide on-site installation guidance, commissioning training and long-term spare parts guarantee services for overseas sites.
As a professional equipment manufacturer dedicated to solid waste drying and biomass resource recycling, our company focuses on three core business sectors: co-disposal via cement kilns, energy recovery from agricultural and forestry waste, and reduction treatment of industrial solid waste. We provide customized integrated drying and disposal solutions for cement groups, environmental engineering enterprises and overseas EPC general contracting projects worldwide. This strategic cooperation with two leading central enterprises — CITIC Heavy Industries and China Energy Engineering Overseas Investment — not only represents high recognition from top industrial clients for our product quality, technical strength and overseas project execution capacity, but also marks a key milestone in our international business layout.
Going forward, our company will continue to leverage our mature core drying technologies and proven overseas project service experience to further expand market presence along Belt and Road countries and regions including Southeast Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East. We will empower premium Chinese manufacturing capacity to go global with high-standard eco-friendly equipment, assist more overseas industrial and infrastructure projects in pursuing low-carbon development pathways, strengthen cross-border cooperation in green industrial chains with technological advantages, and jointly write a new chapter of win-win international production capacity collaboration.
